Challenge:
The project aimed to establish a landmark development in one of Amman’s most prestigious residential areas, combining luxury with functionality. The challenge was to create a multi-use space that would attract both locals and tourists, blending commercial, residential, and leisure facilities in a way that would complement the urban fabric and the surrounding environment. This required a design that was not only aesthetically appealing but also functional, sustainable, and aligned with modern lifestyles.

Approach:
The design concept focused on creating harmony between the building and its surroundings while incorporating modern and forward-thinking design principles. The approach began with a decomposed square grid layout, which formed the foundation for organizing the project’s spaces. This strategy allowed the design to flow organically, with massings that created pockets of urban life, such as outdoor public plazas and green areas, which are essential for fostering vibrant community interactions. The facades were designed with vertical, repetitive elements to symbolize a futuristic, easy-living approach, while also communicating a universal style that resonates with modern sensibilities. The project incorporated various building functions, including a hotel, offices, a shopping center, and parking, all of which were thoughtfully integrated to ensure fluid circulation and a balance between work, leisure, and living spaces.

Impact:
The project became a focal point in Amman’s cityscape, blending commercial, residential, and leisure functions in a single cohesive development. The careful integration of outdoor spaces and public plazas created an inviting environment that attracted both locals and tourists, enhancing the urban experience. The use of vertical design elements and a modern layout ensured the project aligned with the city’s evolving architectural landscape, while the overall design fostered a sense of vibrancy and community. With a total built-up area of 87,050 m², the project successfully fulfilled its purpose of serving as a dynamic and multifunctional destination, contributing to the growth and modernization of the area. It also set a benchmark for future developments in the region, showcasing the value of thoughtful urban design in creating spaces that are not only functional but also architecturally innovative.
